DealDash Tips for When the Auction Ends

DealDash Tips

Alright, you’ve figured out how to bid and win. What goes on next? Here are some tips from DealDash.

The most difficult part about participating in a DealDash auction is winning, but you’re not totally done even after the fireworks have gone off and you see your name up on the screen. There are just a couple of more things that you have to do to make sure that you receive your item safe and sound. Here are some tips and instructions from DealDash on how to make your win a success.

Is Your Information Correct?

After you’ve won an auction, it’s a good idea to go into your account and make sure that all of your information is correct. Do you have the correct credit card, debit card, or Paypal information on your account? Is your billing and shipping address correct? Does everything look exactly right? It’s important that you double-check these things, because you wouldn’t want your shipment to be lost or delayed because of a small typo.

Pay for Your Auction

When you have made sure that all of your billing and shipping information is correct, it’s time to pay the final auction fee. Just click on over to your DealDash dashboard and click on the “Won Auctions” tab. There you will find any auctions that you have won that have an outstanding balance on them. Just click on the “Pay” button and you will be taken to the payment screen. From there you can choose to pay with credit, debit, or your Paypal account.

You Can Make a Screenshot

Personally, whenever I win an auction I like to make a screenshot. This way I know exactly when I won, what the product was, and most importantly – who I beat. This information can be extremely useful in the future. I have never had any problems with DealDash delivering the wrong item, but everyone makes mistakes, so I like to be prepared.

When you think about it, DealDash is amazing – I have had approximately 5 misdelivered packages by Amazon this year, and zero this year from DealDash. Actually, I have only ever had 2 misdelivered packages by DealDash, ever. And when I contacted customer service they promptly resent the packages to me. Now that’s service!

Shipping and Tracking

DealDash always provides free shipping on all items on their website, which includes both WINs and BINs. Each and every item will arrive brand new, in the original box, and covered by the original manufacturer’s warranty. I once had a problem with an item that had been damaged in shipping. I emailed DealDash customer service and they said that I could just take it and exchange it at Wal*Mart. My Wal*Mart didn’t have the particular item, so they let me exchange it for something similar instead. No problem!

After your item ships, you will be able to track it on your dashboard. This is only true for goods, not gift cards unless the value of the gift card is over $250. If you’d like to see your tracking number on your item, just log-in to your dashboard and click on the “My Orders” tab and you will see all of your orders.

DealDash Tips of the Trade

DealDash Tips of the trade

What’s your best DealDash Tip? All DealDash regular bidders have a few “tips of the trade” that they use when bidding.

What are your favorite DealDash tips of the trade? What’s what special trick that you like to use when you bid? Okay, okay, I know that you don’t want to give away your special secrets. How about your regular tips? What guidelines do you like to use when you bid on DealDash? Here are some of mine.

Don’t Accidentally Overbid

What do I mean by accidentally overbidding? I mean, of course, by bidding more than the item is worth! Many times when you do your calculations of how many bids to place in an auction you might forget to also take into account the auction’s final value fee. This doesn’t apply on “Free Auction weekends,” of course, but on a regular day you might find yourself overpaying if you don’t remember to calculate this part. This is especially important to remember when you are bidding on gift cards because these auctions frequently end up costing at least 50% of the face value.

This is especially important to remember when you are bidding on gift cards because these auctions frequently end up costing at least 50% of the face value. Wouldn’t you be upset to have set up your BidBuddy with enough bids to equal the value of the gift card, and end up winning, but have to pay the face value of the card, as well? That’s what we want to avoid at all costs – “winning” instead of WINNING!

How can you prevent overbidding? It can be difficult when you are bidding in an overnight auction using your BidBuddy because you don’t want to run into the situation that we talked about above. What you might want to do is check and see what price the auction typically is won for, and then set your BidBuddy accordingly. However, this could backfire on you if you miscalculate. This is why you should keep a close eye on your auctions even when you’re using the BidBuddy.

Buy Your Bids at the Lowest Price

Do you know how to stretch your bids even further than the next bidder? By buying them at the lowest price, of course! Don’t be the person who buys a giant bid pack when bid prices are at .19! Buy them when they are at .12-.15, and you will have a lot more bidding power than people who bought them at a higher price. For example, today the bid prices are very low – so it would be a great day to buy a big bid pack!

Tips to Maximize DealDash Wins

DealDash wins

Everyone loves to win on DealDash – no one plays to lose, after all! Here are some tips from DealDash to maximize your auction wins.

Have been paying attention to all of the helpful information that all of the DealDash blogs provide? Wait, you didn’t know that there was more to read than just the DealDash Tips blog?! You’re missing out! There are actually three blogs that provide daily information. In addition to this blog, DealDash Tips, there is also DealDash Blog and DealDash Reviewed. Be sure that you are checking out all three of the blogs on a daily basis, you wouldn’t want to miss anything.

Bid Early and Often

If you aren’t checking out DealDash when you get up in the morning, then you aren’t winning as many auctions as you could be. There are definitely fewer bidders participating in the early hours of the morning when compared to the “prime time” bidding hours of around 8PM-Midnight. You might have to set your alarm clock a little earlier in the morning, but it’s totally worth it when you realize how many more auctions that you can win in the early morning.

When I say to bid often, I mean every day. You don’t actually have to place bids every day, but at least check out the site and see what people are bidding on and by checking out the Winner’s Tab you can see when the auctions are closing, and what the final auction fees end up costing. When you bid early and bid often you’re a step ahead of the competition.

Use DealDash Bookmarks and Alerts

When you see an item that is coming up for auction soon but isn’t going to start for a few hours, then bookmarking is the way to go. Bookmarking an auction on DealDash is just one click! Just click on the little outline of a star in the upper right corner of the auction and you’re good to go! The little star will turn solid, and the auction will now be pinned to your DealDash home page. If the auction is further away, then you’ll want to set an alert.

Setting an alert is simple and can be set on absolutely anything in DealDash’s massive inventory. All you have to do is click the button that says “Alert me” and DealDash will send you an email when an auction has been scheduled for this item. DealDash will alert you when the auction is starting within a couple of days, and then again when the auction is starting within a couple of hours.

DealDash Best Experience Tips

DealDash

Have you been enjoying your DealDash experience so far? Read on for the top tips to have the best DealDash experience in the world.

People love bidding on auctions and exploring the DealDash website. But are they really having the best experience that they can? I can’t answer that question, but I can tell you what to do to have your best DealDash experience. Don’t worry, there’s nothing too difficult or time-consuming that needs to be done. Without further ado, here are the top tips for getting your best experience out of DealDash.

Use the BidBuddy

I’ve said it 100 times, but I am willing to say it 101 times – use your BidBuddy! Almost every auction is won with the BidBuddy. Most auctions run for multiple hours at a time, you really don’t want to have to sit there and keep clicking the “bid” button over and over again. You would be completely devastated if you had spent hours upon hours and hundreds of bids and ended up missing a click or your internet or electricity lost the connection for a second. It happened to me once in my early days of DealDash, and I vowed from then on out to use my BidBuddy every single time.

Go Into the Auction Expecting to Buy It Now (BIN)

If you enter every auction expecting to BIN the item then you will be pleasantly surprised when you win. This means that you should really only bid in auctions that you are really truly interested in winning. Of course, everyone likes to throw a few bids here and there for fun, like a scratch ticket, but when you’re serious about an item, then be “in it to BIN it!” A lot of people have a similar sentiment in their bidder bio, but in reality, it seems like that isn’t usually the case.

When you’re prepared to BIN the auctions that you enter it can be a very calming experience. It’s very comforting to know that I am really not LOSING any bids when I bid in an auction – I’m either going to win that item at a discount, or I’m going to BIN it and get all of my bids returned to me. Another great thing about BINning an auction is that you also get to keep all of the clock time that you accrued as the highest bidder. If you’re bidding on high-dollar auctions, then this can add up to a significant amount of time.
