Tips for the garden? It’s 12 degrees here, are you crazy, DealDash? Nope! It’s time to plan ahead.

Even though it might be freezing outside with a fine dusting of snow on the ground, it’s definitely time to be thinking about and planning your garden for the Spring. You’re going to need to plan out what you are going to plant, as well as get the supplies that you need to do the planting. Let DealDash help.

The Home, Garden, and Tools category on DealDash has some great items that you will want to check out before you go shopping at your local big box store. The Home, Garden, and Tools category has a large variety of things that you will need to work on your garden and the rest of your yard this upcoming spring. Here are a few of the highlights from the Home, Garden, and Tools category on DealDash.

Mowers and Edgers

DealDash has a huge variety of lawn mowers. They have many different brands, including all of the big names that you would find at your local hardware store. There are gas-powered mowers as well as electric mowers for the environmentally conscious homeowners out there. DealDash also has lawn edgers and shrub pruners to round out your yard clean-up.

Fountains, Garden Beds, and More

DealDash has an amazing selection of statues and fountains to make your garden the best-looking in your neighborhood. You’ll want to invite all of your neighbors over to see the calming and serene garden that you’ve created in your backyard with fountains and benches, all from DealDash. There are also raised garden beds, tillers, and small hand tools to help you get your garden looking it’s best this Spring.

Those Little Extras

If you really want to make your garden stand out this year, why not try adding some extras? DealDash has a selection of bird feeders that will bring all of the birds to the yard. They also have the ever-popular LED solar lights. I can personally vouch for the LED solar lights, I have them edging my front walk, and they are great! They are even still working even though they are 75% covered in snow. Check the reviews on their DealDash page – 5 Stars!

DealDash Top Tips

DealDash Top Tips

If someone asked you what your top DealDash tips are, what would you say? Here are some of the top tips that I have heard about DealDash.

Not everyone is an experienced bidder, a lot of newer players need a lot of help. That’s where DealDash Tips Blog comes in to help. We have heard all of the advice – some of it good, and some not so good, and here are the top tips that we have come up with for you today.

BidBuddy, Always…

If you’re not using your BidBuddy you’re losing auctions. Your BidBuddy is always there for you, whether you choose to use him or not. Even if you’re someone who prefers to bid click-by-click, BidBuddy is there for you when you need to stop for a moment to use the bathroom, speak to your family for a second, or eat dinner. Just load up the BidBuddy with some bids for while you are away, and then cancel them when you get back and are ready to resume bidding by hand.

Research, Before Bidding

There’s not a single good reason that you shouldn’t be doing some research before you bid. There are very few things on DealDash that are only offered once. That’s one of the awesome things about DealDash, if you don’t win the first time around items are usually offered again. This gives you time to do some research before you bid.

Speaking of research, DealDash has taken some of the effort out of doing research, because they are now offering product reviews on many of the products that are offered for auction. This makes things easier for you, since you won’t even have to leave the DealDash page to do research. This means that you might be able to see a product and decide then and there if that is the product that you would like to bid on.

Promotions Save Money

DealDash offers many promotions such as “Free auction day,” “Half price auction day,” “2X highest bidder day,” and more. Reading the DealDash Tips Blog and our sister blog DealDash Reviews daily is one way to stay “in the loop” when it comes up upcoming DealDash promotions and sales.

DealDash Tips to Use Bids Wisely

DealDash computer lady

Using your DealDash bids wisely is very important. If you’re not bidding wisely you’re wasting money.

Do you have hundreds and hundreds of DealDash bids? Great! I’m very happy to hear that you have a wealth of DealDash bids to use. However, just because you have lots of bids to spare doesn’t mean that you should waste them or use them any less wisely than if you only had a few. The more bids that you use wisely the happier you will be. Here are some tips on how to use your bids wisely.

Do Your Research

Bidding wisely means making sure that you really really want the item before you start bidding. If you have put in a few bids while you are looking up the item, and after doing your research decide that you don’t actually want the item, you’ve wasted some bids! Do your research before the auction starts!

Make a Budget

If you’ve decided that you are going to buy 200 bids per week to use on DealDash, then you should plan out how you will use them before the auctions start. Don’t use up your entire budget on the first day, decide what you really want to win on DealDash, and save your bids for that item. If you put your entire bid budget on the one item that you really want instead of splitting up the bids on items you aren’t as sure about, then it makes a lot of sense to use the BIN (Buy It Now) option, purchasing the item so you can get all of your bids back.

Use the Bookmark Option

Don’t waste a bid “saving” the auctions that you are merely considering. Use the “Bookmark” option. Bookmarking is available on every single auction, and will save you many, many bids if you have been saving auctions by spending a bid on them to save them. To bookmark an auction, simply click the little star on the top right corner of the auction on the main page. The star will turn yellow, and that means that it’s bookmarked. Easy!

DealDash Tips to Make Kids Happy

DealDash happy kidsTwo things make kids happiest – time with their parents, and toys! Why not do both and win some fun things from DealDash?

DealDash has so many fun toys, crafts, games, outdoor activities, and other kid-friendly items to choose from. Why not DealDash with the whole family? Gather up the family, go to DealDash, click on the Toys, Hobbies, Outdoors, & Games category, and let your kids choose what to bid on? Once they find something that they like, be sure to check the reviews on the product that DealDash provides to make sure that it’s something appropriate for their ages.

It’s Like a Math Lesson

If you’re going to let the kids choose what to bid on, why not turn the bids into a math lesson for them? For older kids you can get them to figure out how many bids you need to put in to reach the BIN (Buy It Now) price, and for younger kids you can let them count up to the number of bids you’re using. In case you need a little refresher course on how to do your DealDash Math, here’s a tip:

If you’d like to bid on a $10 Burger King gift card, $10 divided by .15 cents is approximately 67 bids. However, if you want to make sure that you don’t over-bid, you have to include the going auction price. If you join the auction at $4, whatever you do, don’t place 67 bids on a $10 gift card auction that has reached an auction price of $4! If you happened to win on the 67th bid you would be paying a total of $14 dollars for the auction you’ve just Won! Bids price + Final Auction Value = Total Money Spent.

Get Outside, Get Active With the Kids

If math lessons aren’t your idea of fun family bonding time, then maybe you should just do the bidding yourself. However, you should keep the kids in mind and bid on some fun outdoor equipment for when the weather starts getting nicer again. The good thing about that is most people aren’t looking for pools and trampolines at this time of year, so there will be less competition. If making your kids happy is the goal, trust me, when the UPS man pulls up with a new bike or soccer goal their eyes will light up, even if they can’t use them yet!
