DealDash Tips: When to BIN

Do you know about the Buy-It-Now option? Have you ever used it? Do you know when to stop bidding and use BIN instead?

If you cannot answer these questions, chances are you are losing more than you are winning. Nobody can win every auction, so it’s important to know what to do when you lose and when to do it. If you know when to BIN, you can at least break even.

Do you ever over-bid? When I was a Newbie, I did. Why? I grew up in a very large family and became a very competitive person because I had to compete for nearly everything. Therefore, I now thrive on competition. When I first started playing on DealDash, I did not stop to do the math. I just kept bidding. That was a huge mistake. When I finally stopped to do the math, I felt really stupid. Now I watch other Newbies doing the same thing I used to do.

I watched a player use enough bids in a $50 gift card auction that she could have bought four $50 gift cards instead of winning only one. It’s easy to get caught up in the fun, but whenever you over bid, you only make it more difficult for yourself and everyone else to win a bargain.

So do yourself a favor–learn when to BIN. If you purchase the item and get all your bids back free, you can use the same bids in another auction.

Winning on DealDash is one thing. Knowing when to BIN on DealDash is another. The most successful winners on DealDash are customers who do both.

DealDash Tips for Confident Bidding

Confidence is a great trait to have. Here are some tips from DealDash on becoming a confident bidder.

There’s a difference between being a confident bidder and being a shy or timid bidder. A confident bidder goes into every auction hoping to win but preparing to lose, and has a game plan to get their bids back. A shy or timid bidder just throws in a few bids here and there and hopes that they win. Confidence is important to have in life as well as when participating in DealDash auctions. Here are some tips and tricks from DealDash to get you started on your way to confident bidding.

Show The Room Who’s Boss

When you enter into a DealDash auction do you just put in one bid and then sit there and wait to see what happens? While you can do that, I find that putting multiple bids into your BidBuddy is a better strategy. When you put a number of bids into your BidBuddy then your BidBuddy can take its place in line with the other BidBuddies. When other bidders in the room see that your BidBuddy has been bidding in line with the other BidBuddies, then they know that you mean business, that you’re a confident bidder. No one fears a timid bidder who only bids once here and there. They know that you’ll be easy to beat.

Fill Out Your Bidder Bio with Confidence

Have you filled out your bidder bio yet? It’s the little blurb that you can write about yourself when you are filling out your bidder profile. Now, be nice and polite, but also be confident! Mean and nasty rude bidder bios are taken down, but you don’t have to be rude to get your point across that you’re a confident bidder who’s here to win some auctions.

Be Confident, There’s Always BIN

There’s no need to be a timid bidder. As long as you are bidding on things that you are willing to buy if you lose, then there’s nothing to be timid or shy about at all. There’s no need to be worried that you will lose all of your bids, because you can always get them back when you use the BIN (Buy It Now) feature on DealDash. The BIN feature lets otherwise timid and unsure bidders be confident in their risk-taking. DealDash is completely risk-free if you’re willing to BIN the item if you don’t win.

DealDash Tips: Want Versus Need

When you go to the DealDash.com home page and see all the awesome products up for auction, it could be overwhelming and a bit difficult to decide which auctions to play.

When I first started playing on DealDash, I found myself bidding on all sorts of things that I did not really need and did not end up using. It was just so much fun that I did not give much thought to what I should or should not try to win. However, that was not very smart on my part, and if I had a chance to go back to the beginning and do it over again, I would have played a lot smarter.

Perhaps the best way to make wise choices and play smart is to separate your “wants” from your “needs.” Before you start bidding, ask yourself these questions:

Is this item something I just want or something I really need?
Is this item something I would go to a store to buy?
If I were to win this auction, would I actually use this item?
If I do not win this auction, could I afford to Buy-It-Now and get all my bids back free?
Is this item something I could give to family members or friends as a birthday, anniversary, graduation or Christmas gift?

If you separate your “wants” from your “needs,” you will make much better choices and save a lot of money. The last thing you will want to do is what I did—got a closet full of wonderful products that I never use, just taking up space.

DealDash Tips to Win Mother’s Day

Mother’s Day will be on Sunday, May 14th this year. You have approximately 2 weeks to get the lovely lady in your life a nice present. DealDash has some tips for you.

Buy It Now – BIN IT!

Now, your mom loves you and doesn’t want you to waste your money. So when you are bidding on an item and are certain that you aren’t going to win but you have already used a lot of bids on it, then you can BIN it. BIN means that you pay the retail price of the item or the face value of the gift card, and DealDash will return all of the bids that you used on the item. They will also ship it to you for free. It’s a great way to bid on the items you want, but have the safety net of getting your bids back.
