The tips that we are going to talk about today are tips that you should have learned when you first started on DealDash. Time for a refresher course!

There are certain tips that most bidders use on DealDash, and these tried and true tips should be at the forefront of your mind when you are bidding. These are tips that will help you win, or will minimize the number of bids that you are spending on auctions. Everyone wants to save a little money while they are having fun on DealDash. Read on for more information.

Don’t Bid Tired

To be a winner in a DealDash auction takes time and concentration. Both of these things are in short supply when you are tired. You wouldn’t make a big decision when you are half-asleep, so why would you make a lot of little decisions while you are really tired, either? It’s just not a good idea to bid when you’re tired. Either wait til the next auction comes around, or use your BidBuddy and let him do all of the work for you. Which brings me to the next tip…

BidBuddy is the Way to Go

When you’re tired or have other things on your mind, then using BidBuddy is the way to go. You increase your chances of winning by using the BidBuddy when you aren’t in the best frame of mind to bid. If one of your “wishlist” auctions is coming up and you won’t be able to keep your mind on the auction, then let your friend BidBuddy do the work for you.

You can book your BidBuddy a day ahead of time, so if you know that you are going to be too tired to bid then, set up a BidBuddy! This way you have just as good a chance of winning as the next person who is fully and completely rested. However, if you don’t win…

It’s Time to BIN!

If the BidBuddy wasn’t able to win the auction for you, then it’s time to BIN the auction. BINning, or Buying It Now, is the way to go when you have made a good effort to win an auction and have spent a lot of bids. It just makes a lot of sense to pay the retail price and receive back all of your bids.

The way that BIN works is simple! After paying the standard retail price that’s listed on the auction you will receive all of your bids back. You’ll also get free shipping. It’s the best way to get the item that you wanted to win, and getting all of your bids back. It’s the best of both worlds!

Weekend time is family time, and though we all love our families, sometimes it’s nice to take a little break. Put those kids down for a nap, or “quiet time” with books, and navigate on over to DealDash. The weekend is full of chores and obligations, why not take a little break and bid on some great items that you need in your daily life.

Skip the Shopping Chores

If you have a shopping list of items that you need to get this weekend, skip it! Go on DealDash, instead, and find comparable items that you can bid on, instead. This can end up saving you money. How? Because you might get the item for an amazing deal. However, if you don’t win, you can always BIN.

BIN, the Money Saving Option

BIN, also known as Buy It Now, is a feature that DealDash offers to every bidder in each and every auction that is held. When you’re using BIN, if you have bid to many times and are still not going to win the item you can purchase it at the retail price. This is the price that is listed on each and every auction page. Once you have paid you will have all of the bids that you spent on the auction returned to your account. This is a nice deal that DealDash offers everyone, and you should take advantage of it when you get the chance.

“Idea of the Month Winner” from November 6th Blog

November was the first month that DealDash implemented their “Best Idea of the Month” contest. This will be a new contest that DealDash will offer every month to all bidders who write in with a suggestion or idea for DealDash. Jennifer Cadorna was the big winner of 500 bids for the contest this month. Her idea was:

“It would really be nice if earned badges would show on each bidder. We would get to know each other more other than descriptions that some really don’t care to fill up.”

How to Edit Your Profile from November 7th Blog

Editing your profile was the theme of November 7th’s blog written by Theresa B. She explained how to get to your profile, as well as gave some suggestions on filling in your bidder bio. Here’s how to get to your bidder bio:

Go to the My Dashboard link just under the Bids left and Buy Bids buttons (right hand side of the top of the page. Click on the link and choose Public Profile from the dropdown menu to get started.”

Check other Bidder’s Start Date from November 8th Blog

November 8th’s blog gave tips on how to get to know some of the other bidders on DealDash. Your fellow bidders span a huge age range, are in all corners of the USA and have different thoughts and ideas about bidding. An important thing that you should keep in mind when trying to get to know the other bidders is when they started. From the blog:

The Top Five Ways to Stay Focused on DealDash

It’s sometimes so easy to get distracted on DealDash with all that’s going on at the same time: Bidders to watch, new auctions coming and going, and so forth. That’s why it’s more important than every to have a strategy going into the holiday shopping season on DealDash. Here are the top five ways you can stay focused and get the win!

Create Your Wish List

Just like when you go shopping for the holidays, or even grocery shopping, it’s important to have your list written and ready. This is the way we normally shop for maximum efficiency and it’s no different on DealDash. Create your list and go after the items on it.

Use the Alert Me Feature

When you find an item you want that you will be placing on that wish list, find the item, click on it, and click on the Alert Me button in blue (it will turn red once it’s clicked, giving you the option to remove the alert). Doing so will allow DealDash to send you an email alert letting you know the auction will be back up for bid soon. It’s a great way to prepare.

Bookmark it, too!

Clicking on the clear star from the main page or on the item page (it will turn yellow once you click it) puts that item toward the top of your list when you open the DealDash main page. The items you have bookmarked will appear first at the top of your listings.

From Dashboard to Bookmarked Items

Click on the My Dashboard tab at the top right hand side of the main page, which will take you to a list of choices on the left hand side. Click on Boomarked auctions, which will only display the items you have bookmarked. If you choose to completely stay focused on only the auctions you have bookmarked and not get sidetracked by the other auctions that are going on, this is the absolute best way to do it.

I love BidBuddy. You know this. It is simply the easiest and most efficient way to bid. If you’re looking to stay on track, set your Bid Buddy and have confidence that your bidding friend will not only do the work for you, but will also keep you where you want to be—focused on the auctions at hand.
