Winning Made Easier

Guess what? DealDash.com has recently done something to make winning easier. Each bidder can no longer win the same item more than once every 30 days.

That may not be good news for “power bidders” who repeatedly win more than their fair share of items, but it certainly is good news for everyone else.

This means once a shopper has won an auction, that shopper will be locked out for 30 days from bidding on the same item again, and that will result in fewer potential bidders for the next auction (if within 30 days!)

Therefore, if you have been discouraged and have not been bidding on DealDash lately, now is a good time to go back and try again. With a good plan of action, we might be able to win the auctions we never won before.

Here is a good plan of action:

  • Write down the names of the power bidders who often win several items times a week.
  • Look for those names on the list of shoppers who already won the auction and are now blocked out for a full 30 days. If you see those screen names are on the winner’s list, you no longer have to worry about competing with them to win the auction, so now is a good time for you to place your bids and go for the win.
  • Place at least one bid early so you do not get blocked out from competing. When the bidding gets down to the last two or three bidders, place the bulk of your bids. Then monitor the auction closely.

Shopping on DealDash is now more exciting than ever. I’ll see you there!

Take Advantage of Sales

Do you know how many more bids you can get for your money when they go on sale?

Every once in a while, DealDash.com offers bid packs for as low as 11 cents per bid. When bid packs go on sale that is the time to purchase all of your bids for the whole month.

For its 10-year anniversary, DealDash has been offering all kinds of deals, making it easier than ever for us to win the auction of our dreams. In fact, I recently won an auction that I was never before able to win. Some ways DealDash makes winning easier are:

  • They designate certain times when they put several auctions on sale at the same time. That must drive the most active bidders crazy because they cannot bid on everything at once!
  • They sometimes cut off all new bidders at $3 instead of $5. By locking out all new bidders at $3 it eliminates some of the competition for all those who do get their bids in early.
  • They increased the number of “one per user” auctions, giving more customers an even playing field to win the auctions of their dreams. By implementing the “one-per-user” auctions, the power bidders are prevented from winning multiple high-dollar auctions once they have already won it. This gives the rest of us more opportunities to win auctions we never before won.

If you have not been shopping on DealDash for a while, now is a good time to return to the site to take advantage of these many opportunities, and check out the new auction items, too.

Traveling With DealDash

Did you ever travel with DealDash.com?

It appears I am taking a DealDash trip and I did not even realize it until I started packing to attend the National Publicity Summit in New York City next week. Now what do I mean by that?

First I got out my luggage that I won on DealDash. Next, I decided to use a large leather purse I won on DealDash.

To prevent my luggage from weighing more than 50 pounds, I was wondering how I could best pack 25 books to take with me to NYC. That’s when I spotted the heavy-duty backpacks I won on DealDash and I realized that would be the perfect solution. All of my books fit perfectly into my backpack, which I can take as a carry on when I get on board the airplane.

I took a look at that and realized that all three items I needed for my trip–my luggage, my purse and my backpack–I won when shopping on DealDash. If I had not been shopping on DealDash, I would not have had what I needed to go on this trip.

I have enjoyed shopping on DealDash since Feb. 8, 2012, and over the years, I won 783 auctions. It is a difficult job to properly prepare for any trip, especially if you do not travel often. However, preparing for my trip has been made so much easier because of all of the items I won on DealDash.

I did not even know at the time how much I might one day need to use the luggage, large purse and backpack. I am especially glad the backpack is sturdy enough and high-quality enough to hold all of my books without falling apart, and that’s one thing I like best about shopping on DealDash. When I shop on DealDash, I know I’m shopping for high-quality products.

Thank you, DealDash!

Make a Winning Difference

Over the last two years, I placed bids on a specific “hard-to-win” auction several times, but never won it until now. What did I do different?

That’s probably the question we should ask every time we shop on DealDash.com. What can I do different that often makes a winning difference?

Most auction items are listed multiple times per day. If we see an item that we really want to win, it might be a good idea to place a few bids on the same auction product the next three or four times it goes up for auction.

Perhaps it will go up for bid late at night, again early in the morning and smack dab in the middle of the day at around noon. Here are some things I’ve learned to look for that could make a winning difference:

  • The time the product goes up for sale might make a difference as to how easy it is to win. I discovered that early hours of the morning might be one of the easiest times of the day to win. However, we must take time zones into consideration, too.
  • The number of people who place bids in the auction before all new bidders get locked out. A rule of thumb that I like to use is to only bid in auctions with 30 or fewer bidders.
  • By the time the auction gets down to the last two people, and each one continues for 50 bids or more, chances are that neither one will quit anytime soon. Trying to win this auction by jumping in near the end of bidding can sometimes work. However, it seldom works when it’s down to two very committed shoppers who have already invested a large number of bids to win. In that case, we are usually better off placing our bids on the next auction when the same item comes up again.

Knowing which auctions to bid in at what time can work wonders when shopping on DealDash, too. It pays to pay attention to what’s happening. In fact, it could make a winning difference.
