Expand Your Horizons from the August 11th Blog

The theme of August 11th’s blog was regarding some hot tips to use on DealDash. The top tip of that blog was simply to expand your horizons and browse and bid in different categories. From the blog:

“ Many people come to DealDash and either search for a particular item or browse in their favorite categories. This means that they aren’t seeing the new items available unless they are in their chosen categories. You can see a bigger variety of items if you make sure to check out the “New Items” category. You can find these items at this link right here.”

Pay Attention to DealDash Tips from the August 15th Blog

The blog on August 15th was all about how reading the DealDash Tips Blog is to your benefit. One of the top tips from this blog was to be sure that you have enough bids to see you through an auction. From the blog:

“You would not want to run out of bids in the middle of a special auction. If you are participating in an auction that you have spent a lot of time and bids on, then running out of bids is never good. There is no pause button on the auctions, and your fellow bidders will not stop bidding because you need a “time out”.  ”

Exchanging Wins For Free Bids on DealDash

When shopping on DealDash.com have you ever exchanged your winning auction for free bids instead? You might wonder why anyone would want to do that.

When I was a Newbie on DealDash, I used to only bid on auction products I really wanted to win. Therefore, I never exchanged my wins for free bids. Now that I have more experience, however, I gained a new perspective.

Now I can see some real advantages to exchanging some wins for free bids.

Advantages of Selecting Free Bids

If we decide ahead of time to exchange some wins for free bids, it gives us more bidding options. Before, I only bid for the right size rings that would fit me or the right size jacket I could wear. Not anymore. Why? Two reasons:

  1. If I decide ahead of time that I will exchange my win for free bids, it no longer matters if it fits me or not. Size no longer matters. All that matters is that I find auctions that are easy to win, regardless of size.
  2. That also means that it does not matter if the products I bid on are for a male or female. If I decide to exchange my win for free bids, all I care about is finding auctions with the least competition.

When I no longer care about finding the right size or a specific auction product I could wear or use, it becomes a lot easier to win more auctions. I hate to give away all my winning secrets, but I tried this out and it worked for me. Perhaps it will work for you, too.

Where Would You Be Without DealDash Tips?

dealdash

Do you know where you would be without the help and advice from DealDash Tips? Here are some more tips and tricks to keep you on track.

You don’t want to go on a camping trip without the essentials, right? You would want to bring some sturdy shoes, food, rain gear, a flashlight, and lots of other things. You would be very unhappy if you forgot some of your things. It’s the same thing with auctions, you want to be sure that you are bringing your best tips and advice with you. Don’t go into the auctions unprepared just like you wouldn’t go camping unprepared. Read on for some great tips to use on DealDash.

Don’t Run Out of Bids

You would not want to run out of bids in the middle of a special auction. If you are participating in an auction that you have spent a lot of time and bids on, then running out of bids is never good. There is no pause button on the auctions, and your fellow bidders will not stop bidding because you need a “time out”.  It is possible to buy bids when you are in the middle of an auction. However, if it is down to only 1 or 2 other bidders then you might be hard-pressed for time to buy a bid pack. Always be sure to have bids in your account before you start bidding in an auction, especially if it’s an auction that you think might last a long time.

Know What You Want – and Bid!

Do you know how the auction on DealDash work? Of course, you should read up on the rules and check out the previous winners and see how things work. This will assist you in being a great bidder right off the bat and you will minimize any mistakes that you might make as a new bidder.

Curiosity did not kill the cat (on DealDash!)

When shopping on DealDash.com one of the most important qualities for successful bidders to have is a strong sense of curiosity.

You might ask, “But didn’t curiosity kill the cat?” My answer: “No.” What we do not know can and does hurt us, so I believe having a strong sense of curiosity is a healthy characteristic, not a bad one. After all, isn’t it because of our natural sense of curiosity that we learn anything in the first place?

I grew up with lots of sayings and my mom had a quote for every situation, but not all of those sayings made sense. Most of them were very helpful, but “curiosity killed the cat” was not one of them. Some of my favorite helpful sayings were:

  • “When the going gets tough, the tough get going!”
  • “Those who row the boat don’t have time to rock it!” and
  • “When you feel like giving up (quitting), remember the giant oak tree. It started out as just a little nut that held its ground.”

Benefits

Many of us started bidding from the home page, but our natural sense of curiosity quickly made us stop and ask questions. Therefore, we soon learned how to find and use BidBuddy, which saved us a lot of bids and frustration.

Yesterday I was shocked to see a customer who joined DealDash in 2012 and that customer was still cutting the clock and wasting bids by bidding from the home page. Perhaps some customers might lack a healthy sense of curiosity. When we are curious, and we see something is not working well, we stop and ask questions. When we ask questions, we get answers.

Having a strong sense of curiosity has many other benefits as well. By asking questions and reading blogs, we develop many new strategies and win more auctions.
