Odd-Numbered Bidding

Think about it carefully. When you are putting numbers into your BidBuddy, are you putting in a number such as 100 or 200? And just how many other people do you think are doing the exact same thing? If there are 10 people entering the auction, and each person puts in 100 bids, the person who added their bids last will win. This is simply how it works. However, what if you just aren’t able to be there right when the auction begins? This might be the very reason that you are using the BidBuddy in the first place. Therefore, putting in a few extra bids might be a smart move. Just think, if the 9 other people put in 100 bids and you put in 105, you’re the winner! This is an easy way to get a little edge on the competition.

Bid on Full-Priced Days

Many bidders wait until DealDash is having a sale such as “Free” or “Half Price” auction days to bid. These promotions can get you a great deal monetarily if you win, but the competition is usually much stiffer on these days. So even though it seems counter-intuitive to get a deal, you might want to consider skipping the sales and bidding on full-priced auction days.

Give an Unpopular Item a Chance

Have you noticed that there are just some items on DealDash that consistently go for under a dollar or so? This doesn’t mean that it’s a bad item, there could be a few reasons why it ends for a relatively low price. For example, it could be an uncommon size, or a seasonal item in the wrong season. Or, everyone who was really interested in the item could have already won the item. There are lots of reasons, and if it’s an item that you think is interesting, give it a shot!

Birthday Items for All on DealDash from the May 12th Blog

The theme of May 12th’s blog explored some gift ideas for special occasions on DealDash. The top tip of that blog was to remember that DealDash can make getting birthday presents for your friends and family easier. Here is a great tip from that blog:

“One of the great things about getting birthday presents on DealDash is that if you find something that you are 100% sure that the person will like, you can bid it up to the BIN (Buy It Now) price. If you don’t win the item, then you can BIN it for the regular price and DealDash will give you back all of your bids that you have spent on that auction.”

Gear Up for Camping & Hiking with DealDash

DealDash is gearing up for camping season. Are you? For avid campers like me and my family, DealDash is a great place to find everything you need to make camping a wonderful experience over the summer. Now is the time to find, bookmark and set alerts for all the camping gear you might need this summer.

While tents may not be a daily item offered on DealDash, they do come up for auction so when you find something you like, set those alerts to make sure you are notified by email when they are up for bids. Have Bids at All Times

Let me tell you one thing, and that is it’s no fun to run out of bids in the middle of an auction. Imagine, you are bidding on an auction that you have been waiting and watching, and then finally pounced on. Only to realize that you only have a few bids, and the competition is still bidding away. You can always buy bids mid-auction, but the fact of the matter is that sometimes auctions can end very quickly. If it takes you 3 minutes to buy bids that sounds fast, but in reality, the auction could be over and done with by the time you get back. Be sure to have bids in your bid bank.

Be Familiar with the Auctions

If you are a newbie to DealDash, or if you just haven’t used DealDash for a while, be sure that you are familiar with how the auctions work. If you see an auction that you want to participate in but aren’t sure of how to bid or what the rules are, then that can become a problem for you.
