Survive the Holiday Rush on DealDash

It’s no secret that at this time of the year DealDash is hopping with bidders all looking to score the best deals anywhere. It’s sort of like shopping at any major retailer the week leading up to Christmas as shoppers are looking to get their last-minute shopping in. Sometimes this can be frustrating with increased competition. Here are some tips to stay sane and still have fun on DealDash:

  1. Take advantage of bid packs on sale

DealDash is offering some of the lowest prices of the year on bid packs this time of year because they know there are more bidders online. Even if you’re not going to bid while it’s crazy out there, take advantage of the rock-bottom prices on bid packs an stash them away for another day.

  1. Change up your strategy

Are you one of those folks who bids the same way every time? Maybe you bid from the get-go early on and stay the course or drop out after a certain number of bids. Maybe you’re a mid-auction bidder, watch a bit and then jump in when the bidders thin out a bit. Or maybe you’re a dreaded last-minute jumper who waits until there are just a few bidders left to place your first bid. Whichever type of bidder you normally are, try changing up your strategy and see what happens. This was a very difficult thing for me to do at first (I was a bid from the start gal) but after a bit, I got the hang of trying and winning with a different strategy.

  1. Try a day and time that is not normal for you

My philosophy is that if I am free and able to commit myself to a few hours of bidding (maybe it’s a weekend or weeknight), then others will likely be available to do the same. Trying an odd day or time for you might just net some unexpected benefits.

  1. Log in daily for free bids

Even if you’re not planning to bid during the holiday rush season on DealDash, don’t let that stop you from logging in daily to place at least one bid per day to earn up to 30 free bids each day. Putting these bids away to save in your bid bank is a great way to look forward to when you do bid on an item you want!

  1. The best advice on DealDash

The best piece of advice I ever received never gets old. I read it on another bidder’s bio and it read, “Don’t worry—there’s another auction for this item just around the corner!”  That little piece of sage advice has gotten me through a lot of tough bidding days. Some days you win, some days you don’t. But one thing still remains true—the item you want will be offered up again in another DealDash auction soon. So don’t lose heart—keep trying to win the items you want!

  1. The holiday shopping rush will be over soon

The great thing about the stress of holiday shopping is that it doesn’t last long. The rush is literally a month from start to finish. Things will soon die down and you’ll be able to get back to bidding and winning with a little less competition.

We all love the holidays and but bidding on DealDash during the holiday season can sometimes be daunting. But take heart and know that when you do get back to bidding, DealDash will be right there where you left off—adding new items and giving bidders great deals every day.

Happy holidays and happy bidding on DealDash and happy holidays!

Don’t Bid Tired from the November 20th Blog

The theme of November 20th’s blog was some “tried and true” tips that we always recommend here at DealDash Tips. The top tip from that blog was to skip bidding when you are too tired. The advice suggested to either wait til the next auction comes around, or use your BidBuddy and let him do all of the work for you. When you’re tired you can make some bad decisions that you wouldn’t normally make. Just wait for the next auction to come around, or if it’s something that you need right away then let BidBuddy help you out.

Conserving Bids from the November 21st Blog

November 21st’s blog was all about suggestions how you can stretch your DealDash bids. Barbara was the author of that article, and she has been bidding on DealDash for quite some time. Here’s one of her great suggestions to stretch your bids:

If the auction usually closes at $15.00 and it is now at $13.00 you might be able to let the last two players go head-to-head until it reaches $14.00. Then they will have each used up 50 more bids than you, and that could make a winning difference. -Barbara

If you want to conserve your DealDash bids, then you should heed her advice.

Installing the DealDash App from the November 22nd Blog

The blog on November 22nd was some tips and ideas on getting some Thanksgiving wins. The best and most useful tip on that article was to install the DealDash app on your phone. You don’t have to choose between your family get-togethers and DealDash when you have the app installed on your phone. From that blog:

If you don’t have the app yet, you can download it at this link right here. Not only is it a different fun and exciting way to bid on DealDash, it’s also free. -Dawn

The DealDash app is such a time-saver and if you didn’t download it for your Thanksgiving festivities then you should definitely get it before Christmas. Here’s the link in case you missed it – link.

Common Mistakes Newbies Make on DealDash

By Barbara

If you are new to DealDash.com chances are that you will make some of the five most common mistakes that Newbies often make.

The five most common mistakes that I have identified are:

  1. Choosing an intimidating screen name or bio message with the intent to scare off the other competitors. This is against DealDash guidelines and having an intimidating screen name will not help you win more auctions.
  2. Playing before reading, watching and learning. Many Newbies start placing bids before they know how to play and they irritate other shoppers by cutting the clock and bidding out of turn.
  3. Casting single bids from the home page. Newbies usually do this because they have not yet learned how to double click on the auctions so they can open a new window, where they can find and use BidBuddy, the automated bidder.
  4. Bidding in too many auctions at the same time. Most Newbies are better off bidding in one auction at a time. Then, if you do not win, you only have to purchase that one item to get all your bids back. If you bid in several auctions, you would have to purchase several auction products to get all your bids back.
  5. Overbidding the retail value of the auction product.
  6. Not making a budget. It is important to do the math, set spending limits and sticking to those limits.

Smart shoppers will avoid making the most common mistakes by reading blogs and educating themselves before they begin to play.

Don’t Do These Bad DealDash Tips

DealDash

Sharing good tips here on DealDashTips.com is what we do. However, sometimes knowing the wrong thing to do can be helpful so you can avoid it. Read on for more information.

Good tips, bad tips, helpful tips, and not so helpful tips – these are all important things to think about when you are bidding on DealDash. We always try to give you the best tips and advice here on the DD Tips blog, but it can be very helpful to know the wrong things to do as well. This way you can avoid falling into bad bidding habits. Read on for more information, from DealDash.

Don’t Be Reckless With Your Bids

Buying or winning a big bid pack can be an amazing feeling. Unfortunately, sometimes when we have so many bids at our disposal we can become a little reckless with our bids. For example, if you only have 100 bids in your bid bank you are probably going to try and conserve them. Just sprinkling a few bids here and there on various items, or using all 100 on an auction that you’re planning on doing a BIN (Buy It Now) on.

However, if you win or buy a giant 2,000+ bid pack, then I bet you are going to be way more generous with your bids than you usually would be. Sure, maybe you will win a few extra auctions by bidding on things you wouldn’t normally bid on, but you will probably lose your fair share, as well. It’s always smart to try and conserve your bids for a rainy day. Be cognizant of what you are spending your bids on, and don’t bid recklessly.

Don’t Forget to Bid Every Day (For Free Bids)

Another thing that you want to avoid is forgetting to stop by DealDash every day and placing at least a couple of bids. That’s right – every single day that you come to DealDash and place a bid they will give you free bids. The trick to getting these free bids is to be sure that you don’t skip any days bidding on DealDash. You have to visit on consecutive days to get the free bids. DealDash will give you free bids every day starting with 4 and continuing on to 6, 8, 10, 14, 20, then 30 free bids! You will continue to receive 30 free bids every consecutive day that you come and place a bid. This is an amazing bonus, but you can’t get it unless you come every day.

Thanks for Reading the Tips Blog

These are just a couple of the things that you will want to avoid doing on DealDash. I hope this article has encouraged you to think closely about what you’re doing on DealDash.
