DealDash Top Tips Round-Up 10/18

In case you missed it last week, DealDash has a new series called Top Tip Round Up. Today we are going to round up some of the top tips for you from last week. Read on for more info.

Welcome to the new DealDash series – Top Tip Round Up. This series began last week and was helpful for readers. We here at DealDash Tips Blog love to share all of our tips with you. With this new series, we highlight some of the most interesting tips from the previous week. We love to share our knowledge with all of the new DealDash bidders on DealDash. Here is a round up of our top tips from last week.

Place a Bid before $5 from October 10th’s Blog

Maybe you missed Barbara’s article on October 10th, and the top tip from that blog is to be sure that you place at least 1 bid before the auction reaches $5. This is because DealDash has a $5 No Jumper rule which means that only people who have placed a bid before the auction reaches $5 may participate in the auction. Here’s what Barbara said about the topic:

It might be a good idea to place more than one bid in the beginning of each auction just in case it closes early, but you will save bids by waiting until the auction gets down to the last two or three bidders before you place the bulk of your bids into BidBuddy.

Make Your Bids Last from October 11th’s Blog

I was recently thrilled to win my first kitchen appliance on DealDash, terrific $350 item I paid just a little over a dollar for it! However, you will feel like you have company when you see the other pretend bidders bidding. The tutorial is great for newbies because it tells you what to do, and also tells you what the other pretend bidders are doing.

Your BidBuddy is Your Friend ‘Til the End

Using the BidBuddy is the number one way to not feel like you are alone when you are bidding in auctions. He might not be a real person, but he is an excellent companion. If you haven’t met the BidBuddy yet, he is a useful tool that DealDash gives (free of charge) to everyone, in every auction.You can put in as many or as few bids as you like. You can cancel it or add more bids at any time. Your BidBuddy will take turns bidding with the other BidBuddies that are set until there are no more bids placed from BidBuddies or other bidders. After the last bid has been placed, that person (or BidBuddy) is the winner.

DealDash Offers Unique Gifts

A few weeks ago, my daughter cleaned an old storage unit I had kept for more than five years. Although I had told her there was really only one thing I cared to keep, she surprised me with a tote full of memories from my past I had long forgotten. Amongst the portrait photos of my children as babies, yearbooks and more, was two Elvis Presley Christmas albums that brought my mind an spirit back to my childhood.

My father, now 78, has always been a huge fan of Elvis, and so by default so am I. As I shared these thoughts with my daughter we reminisced on the other treasures found in the storage unit, but I kept coming back to these two record albums.

“Wouldn’t it be cool to play these two albums every year at Christmas time as a new tradition?” asked my daughter. Indeed it would. But where in the heck could I find a record player in this day and age? The answer—of course—was DealDash.

My daughter reminded me that I had had great luck finding all kinds of unique and interesting things on DealDash and then I remembered. Yes! DealDash does offer a record player that actually has a Bluetooth speaker in it. How modern!

Now my sights are set on getting this record player for my daughter and presenting her with the two Elvis Presley Christmas albums so we can start our new holiday tradition of playing these records year after year. Thanks to DealDash, she will be able to carry on this tradition and some day pass it on to her daughter to do the same.
