Tips to Save Bids on DealDash

Do Not Waste Bids

By Barbara

To shop on DealDash.com we must have a nice supply of bids, and we can get them three different ways:

  1. Purchase bid packs
  2. Win bid packs
  3. Earn free bids

Regardless, how we get our bids, the last thing smart shoppers want to do is to waste the bids we have, but I am sure we all have done that at times. Most of us have probably heard the quote by Benjamin Franklin, “A penny saved is a penny earned.”  In this case, a bid saved is a bid earned. Therefore, to successfully shop on DealDash, we should not waste bids. Bids costs money and if we waste bids, we waste money.

Here are some rules to follow to get the most out of our bids and make them last longer:

Always Buy Bids on Sale

At the beginning of every month, we should figure out how much money we can afford to spend on bids. Then wait until the bid packs go on sale at the lowest price per bid and purchase all of our bids for the entire month. When our bids run out, we know we are done shopping until the next month.

Never Bid When tired

Do not bid whenever you are too tired. Whenever I am tired, I get lazy and do not do everything I can to save bids or bid smart. It is easy to place a large number of bids into the automated bidder, BidBuddy, but that is the lazy way of bidding. If we want to save bids, we must be actively engaged in the bidding process of all of our auctions. If we are using bids when there are five or more active participants, chances are we are wasting bids. To save bids, we must be willing to watch the bidding process so we can delete our bids when it makes sense and add bids when it makes sense. If we save most of our bids until the auction gets down to the last two players, chances are much better that we will have enough bids left to win the auction.

Don’t Forget These Important DealDash Tips

DealDash Tips

DealDash Tips is here to give you helpful tips, hints, and tricks about DealDash. Here are some important tips that you won’t want to forget.

Do you find yourself bidding on DealDash at least a few times per week? If so, you’ll want to remember to come back here every day for new DealDash Tips blogs. These blogs are helpful, informative, and can help you learn all about DealDash. There are many different facets and subtle nuances to being the best bidder that you can be. Without further ado, here are some tips that you won’t want to forget when you are bidding on DealDash.

Buy Bids on Sale – Buy a Lot Within Your Budget

DealDash bids are typically on sale for different prices every day. One day they might be .18 per bid, and the next day they might be .12 per bid. You never know how much the bids are going to cost. This is why when you see bids on a super great sale like .12 per bid, then you need to reach deep into your wallet and see how many bids you can buy and stay within your budget. The more bids you buy when they are .12 means fewer bids that you will need to buy when they are .18.

Don’t Sweat the Small Losses

You’re not going to win every DealDash auction that you enter – it’s just a fact. There are millions of registered bidders on DealDash and thousands that bid every day. You can certainly BIN (Buy It Now) every auction that you don’t win. You can get all of the bids that you placed returned to you to use again. If you want to BIN an auction simply hit the button that says “Buy It Now” and pay for the auction. The price of each auction is located on its individual page. After you have paid for your BIN your bids will be returned to you to use again on a different auction.

Use the BidBuddy – Use it Often

The BidBuddy is your automated bidding friend that helps you win auctions. Every person is able to use the BidBuddy, and there is a BidBuddy on every single auction if you open up its individual page from the main auction home page. Once you’ve opened up the individual auction page you can add bids to the BidBuddy located in the middle of the screen, and hit “Book a BidBuddy.” He will bid for you until he runs out of bids or you cancel him. You can cancel the BidBuddy or add bids at any time during the auction.

How to Find and Score New Items on DealDash!

How to Find and Score New Items on DealDash

Now more than ever, as we get closer to the holidays, you may find that DealDash not only brings back old favorites into the mix but also adds new and exciting items for those looking for super bargains and great gift-giving ideas.

How to find new items

The best and fastest way to find new items is to click on the Browse categories drop-down menu just under the main banner on the home page of the DealDash site. Once you do that, click on New items to browse some of the new items up for bids in the auctions.

Use the search function

If you’re a fan of shopping for certain brands on DealDash, try typing in the brand name in the search box to see if there are new items being offered with that brand. If you’re familiar with the current offerings, any new offerings will jump right out you as pleasant additions.

Bookmark new faves

Once you’ve identified the new items you’d like to win, be sure to bookmark them by clicking on the clear star in the upper right hand corner of the auction. Once you do, the star will turn yellow and you the item will move to the top of your page.

Alert! Alert!

Along with bookmarking the new items you’re interested in, check the blue Alert me box. Once you click on that box, it will turn from blue to red and you will receive an email within eight hours of when the auction will be available for auction.

Wish List it!

Oftentimes you can either grab a new item early and at a great bargain before others have noticed it’s being offered. This is why being aware of new items and using alerts and bookmarks can be a lifesaver. On the flip side of that, there may be a stretch where you find that many people have discovered it and want it as badly as you do so be aware early and get in on the wins!

It’s always great to see new products offered, especially around the holidays when a greater selection is always welcomed. Check out DealDash for all its old standbys and all its upcoming new items as well.

Good luck and happy bidding on DealDash!

DealDash Tips to Save on a Vacation

DealDash

Taking a trip for February vacation? Better start planning now. Here are some tips from DealDash.

Maybe you’re taking a trip in February when then kids are on break from school, or maybe you’re traveling sooner for the holidays. No matter where you’re going, DealDash can help you save big on your trip. Read on for more information.

Here’s How DealDash Can Help with Packing

If you’re leaving for more than a day or so, you’re going to have a bit of packing to do. If you’re not satisfied with the luggage and travel bags that you have now, DealDash can provide great luggage and travel bags for auction. There are single hard shell pieces of luggage, as well as sets of small, medium, and large luggage. DealDash also has duffle bags and backpacks if you just need a carry-on bag. If you need bags that are even smaller such as cosmetics bags, DealDash has those as well.

Score Gift Cards for Your Hotel

Staying with family isn’t always an option when you’re going home for the holidays. Hotels are expensive. What are you going to do?  Well, if it were me, I would bid on gift cards for your hotel stay on DealDash. One of the best things about bidding on a hotel gift card is that even if you don’t win the auction you can always do a BIN (Buy It Now) on the hotel gift card. Since you’re going to be staying in the hotel anyway, it just makes sense to try and win a hotel gift card. You might win it for a great deal, you might win it for a little bit of money off of the face value, or you might not win at all. However, no matter which of these options happen to be the case, you will get to keep your time on the time clock.

BIN and the Time Clock

BIN is a feature that DealDash offers to every bidder in every auction. This is also known as “Buying It Now.” If you have been bidding on a hotel gift card and you know that you’re not going to win the item you can purchase it at the face value of the gift card. This is a great savings for you because you will be able to keep all of the time that you accrued on the time clock when bidding on your hotel gift card.
